Expected collection for the treasury this year is of BRL 3.8 billion by trading 9.5 million barrels of oil, says PPSA

Pré-Sal Petróleo (PPSA) collected BRL 642.1 million in the first four months of this year related to trading of the portion of oil and natural gas the Federal Government is entitled to. The amount is composed, mainly, by trading oil of production sharing agreements (CPP) from Fields of Mero and Surrounding Area of Sapinhoá and from Tupi Shared Deposit, inside the Pre-salt Polygon.

The result in the first four months of 2022 already achieved half of the collection from 2021, a record in the historical series of PPSA, in which USD 1.22 billion was destined to the Federal Government with the trading of oil and natural gas. For this year, PPSA estimates a total collection of BRL 3.8 billion.

In 2022, there is the expectation to trade 19 loads of 500,000 barrels each. Of such loads, four were already delivered, two from Tupi, one from Mero and one from the Surrounding Area of Sapinhoá.

At the end of the year, the company intends to carry out a competitive process to trade two batches of 500,000 barrels each of Sépia and Atapu. In the same period another process must be carried out to trade a production of around 200,000 cubic meters (m³) per day in 2023 concerning the portion of natural gas of the Federal Government of production sharing agreements of the fields in the Surrounding Area of Sapinhoá and Búzios and of the Shared Deposit of Tupi.

Since April 2018, Pré-Sal Petróleo has already collected BRL 4.5 billion for the Federal Government Of the sum, BRL 3.2 billion came from trading of oil and natural gas portions and BRL 1.3 billion from Equalization of Expenditures and Volumes following the institution of agreements to individualize production (AIP).
