Volume is the largest in the historical series, which happens since 2017; the Mero Development Area (Libra) was the one that contributed the most with the Federal Government, with 6,400 barrels per day
The Federal Government was entitled to, in January 2022, 17,000 barrels of oil per day (bpd) related to average production under production sharing regime. The volume was 21% higher than December and is the highest ever of the historical series, which happens since 2017. Data came from the Monthly Bulletin of Production Sharing Agreements disclosed by Pré-Sal Petróleo (PPSA) on this Thursday (17).
The results reflect the start of the Anticipated Production System - 2 (SPA-2) in Mero. From the total of 17,000 bpd, 6,400 were produced by means of the Production Sharing Agreement (CPP) of Libra, in the Mero Development Area. Another 5,800 bpd were produced by CPP of Búzios and 4,500 bpd by the CPP of the Surrounding Area of Sapinhoá. In CPP of Tartaruga Verde (Southwest), the exceeding oil of the Federal Government is still intended to "Settle Accounts" with the operator as established by the Agreement to Individualize Production (AIP).
Total production of these four agreements, which includes the portion of the Federal Government, was of 466,000 bpd (same threshold in comparison against the previous month). Of these, 412,000 bpd pertain to Búzios; 42,000 bpd to the Mero Development Area; 7,000 bpd to the Surrounding Area of Sapinhoá and 5.000 bpd to Tartaruga Verde (Sapinhoá).
From the beginning of the historical series in 2017, accrued production under production shearing regime sums 125 million barrels of oil. The accrued portion of the surplus oil of the Federal Government, in the same period, sums 12.1 million barrels of oil.
Natural gas
Concerning natural gas with commercial exploit, agreements under production sharing regime presented a production with daily average of 847,000 m³/day in three agreements. Of these, 624,000 m³/day concern the CPP of Búzios, 189,000 m³/day the CPP of the Surrounding Area of Sapinhoá and 34,000 m³/day the CPP of Tartaruga Verde (Southwest). In comparison to the previous months, the available gas volume presented a reduction of 41% due to operational intercurrences in the field of Búzios.
